Dr. Melissa Lawrence
Dr. Lawrence, Orthopaedic Associates’ newest addition, is a Board Certified Hand & Upper Extremity Orthopaedic Surgeon. She grew up in Wisconsin and attended the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee where she graduated in 1990 with a B.S. in Occupational Therapy. Dr. Lawrence practiced as an O.T. for 11 years before entering Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2001. She completed her residency at Affinity Medical Center in Massillon, Ohio and her Hand/Upper Extremity Fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin/Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 2011.
Dr. Lawrence is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, American Osteopathic Association, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and serves as Secretary for the Osteopathic Residency Advisory Committee.
Dr. Lawrence enjoys reading, outdoor activities, arts and crafts and spending time with her family.
